Fees and Bribes

Fees and Bribes

By voting for a gauge, veSLNA allocates emissions to the gauge, enhancing rewards for gauge LPs while collecting all swap fees generated. Voting for a gauge benefits veSLNA in two ways: by gathering bribes connected to gauges and receiving a proportionate share of swap fees based on votes directed to the gauge.

For example, if a gauge generates $1M in volume and charges 0.05% in fees, it will generate $500. If the gauge has 1M votes and a user has 10% of the total votes, he will receive $50.

In Solunea, bribing a gauge is possible. Protocols can boost liquidity for their native tokens through bribes instead of distributing incentives, which can be a more cost-effective option in some cases. Users can attach bribes to a gauge to draw more votes, subsequently increasing SLNA rewards aimed at the gauge.
