# Gauge Weight

On the platform, a gauge receives more SLNA rewards when it attracts votes from veSLNA users, which depends on the total vote count. The rewards are distributed based on the total value locked in the gauge, usually resulting in an annual percentage rate (APR). This mechanism ensures that, over time, the most advantageous pools obtain a larger portion of rewards.
